Sore Wrist Worth the Win?
By Susan Mercedes. Filed in Friends |Once a month I spend an evening with 11 other ladies for a game of Bunko, a dice rolling game. Our group gives away 5 prizes at each game. This means there are 5 winners. There are 12 of us who play to win. That leaves 7 of us that are losers. My odds feel better in Vegas.
Except this month…I won.
If I look around my house, I have practically furnished it with accent pieces, filled the cabinets with platters and stocked up with lotions from this simple game.
But the gifts aren’t why I do it. I love these ladies. We eat dinner, drink wine, chat and scream with excitement all while we roll three little dice. Based on the multitasking involved it might explain why men aren’t in our group. That and they weren’t invited.

I’ve never played the game, but heard it is quite fun. I’ve also heard from Mormon family members that the women in their wards have been advised NOT play this games, as it was getting out of hand. Who can have better prizes, etc. Funny.

I think my relatives play Bunko. That’s awesome to have a group of girlfriends for a game night tradition. I need to start doing that.

@Erin , @h0neyb & @Sterkworks,
Maybe we need to form a Twitter bunko!?!? It’s a blast and we’d get some face to face time.
Hugs,
Susan
