Stressed to Travel Home

Travel. It is one of my favorite things to do. But until I’m at the airport settled at my gate, I stress out.   There’s so much to think about and organize in my head.

Packing.  I dread every moment of it.  For each outfit I must coordinate jewelry, purses, shoes, bras, panties. Plus how many bikinis and shoes are TOO many? Really, what do you think?

Entertainment. What magazines and books should I bring? How many?

Carry on liquids. This is always a problem considering my lip gloss fetish.

Blah, blah blah on all that stuff. Being stressed is old news because I’m here now. In Texas. Dallas for a few days until we travel towards Austin for a July 4th celebration. Then back to Dallas.

And I can assure you, everything is bigger in Texas. This was great news when I was reminded by the pour of my wine at lunch. Let’s hope my ass doesn’t realize the trend before I leave this state.

God that looks good! Have a great vacation. I am a little bummed that Elle chose her Texas family over her little brother “Owen” for the 4th celebration, but I’ll get over it. And you know I can pour you an even bigger glass of wine.

Suz: I would have loved to spend the 4th with you all. Hell, let’s celebrate our “independence” in a few weeks, say…in Del Mar. :D

my opinion on bikinis and shoes–you need one bikini for each day you will possibly swim or lay out or boat or whatever; you need more shoes than you think you do. our joke is that i bring one more pair than days i’m gone, but often that’s not enough ;( better safe than sorry.
Unless you have a chance to do good shopping, in which case you should bring less than you need of both so you can buy new ones :)

Katarina: Brilliant! Absolutely brilliant. And I like that you tied it to safety (better safe than sorry). Now I’ve got new packing “math”.
