I get to go on a trip. Yippee! Weeks ago I booked it just for fun.
Today I’m on my way to San Diego for a weekend getaway. I’ll actually be just north of San Diego in Del Mar. I used to live in Del Mar. The famous Del Mar Racetrack (horse racing) is there and is a huge attraction besides the beautiful beaches and little town. There are plans to attend the horse races. Wow…that brings back memories from the 90’s.
But there is so much to do before I go. And it’s this part that I dread.
All before my morning flight.
But once I’m sitting on my flight, I’ll be relaxed. Pressure is off. (Except I may think…Did I take the batteries out of my traveling flashlight before putting in my checked luggage?)
I’m sure a screwdriver won’t hurt either. And I don’t mean the tool. I mean the drink. A girl needs her vitamin C!

If there seems to be a lot of lunatics in the San Diego area, it may be the San Diego Comic Con that’s happening there this weekend.

George: I did witness several Comic Con attendees, but luckily only at the airport when we were coming home. Phew.

I’ll be there on the 4th but I don’t know if we’re going to the races or not. The beach sounds more relaxing! Have a great trip!

Katy: Have a fabulous time in San Diego. The beach was awesome and the water felt great. I can’t wait to go back to a beach again soon. I miss it.
