Never Again

Yesterday left me exhausted and filthy. (Hot, I know!)

After a full day of accepting bargain prices from strangers to haul off my stuff. Loads of it. It was a garage sale.

$250 profit in my pocket enjoying my ice cold beer. This picture was taken around 4 pm.

But never again. It took 12 hours yesterday and several hours prep work to pull all my stuff together and transport it to the garage sale location.

I’m entirely too lazy to work that hard and only make $12.50 per hour.

I love this picture. For a second there, I thought you lived in the South.

Laura: Lived in the South? As in, I’m trashy and sitting on a couch outside drinking beer and slipping my teeth in and out?

  2. Comment by Amberly:

Yeah, I know what you mean….I actually worked in one of those God-Awful firework stands in the summer for the kid’s soccer fundraiser. I swore I’d never work that hard for that kind of money ever again. But I have to admit, it does make me appreciate the people who are willing to do it!

Amberly: I’ll pay them anything to do it. May even give my yard guy a raise without him asking.

  3. Comment by Becky:

I love garage sales! Having them and going to them. I once thought of having a business where I would get people garage sales together and then sit out there all day selling their precious items for $1.

    Then I sobered up.

    Susan Mercedes Reply:

Becky: It is so much work. Never again. Glad you sobered up enough to come to your senses.
