I Can’t Live Without

On my way in to work this morning, I realized that there are some things that bring an unusual amount of joy to my life.

Sure, I could give you the standard list…which is all true but kind of boring. My kid, family, friends, health, laughter, blah blah blah.

But that isn’t my style. Nope. Not today.

My superficial list begins with three things: driving fast, intimacy and wine.

And not necessarily in that order. And by intimacy, I mean something harsher. But I’m trying to keep it clean people.

I would have a hard time giving up any of these things. Well, giving them up for a long period of time would be tough. Clearly I give up drinking during the hours I work and sleep. And intimacy when I’m super single. And driving fast when I’m parked.

There. I have restraint.

But life is short. Enjoy it. If there are things that make you happy, then indulge.

What can you not live without?

    Hmmm….

I can’t live without coffee, sex and over priced face cream. Seriously those are staples that I am just not willing to give up.

Summer: Awesome list. However, I could find a substitute for coffee. I agree with the sex part. Overpriced face cream??? I need your suggestions/guidance. I don’t love mine.

Finally! People who admit what they can’t live without instead of all that other “default” stuff you mentioned (since that stuff is just that, default….everyone agrees on it all). That said, I can’t live without Diet Dr. Pepper, 16 hour lipstick, Bourbon, and DepoProvera (there is no better invention than the one that completely stops all periods).

Amberly: 16 hour lipstick…I’m intrigued. What brand and does it dry your lips? I’m a little worried about committing to something for so long.

I use Covergirl Outlast All Day lip color. I’ve never tried any other brand. When you first put on the basecoat/color it feels kind of drying and even sticky, but then you’re supposed to let it totally dry for a sec and then put the glossy topcoat stuff on top and then the dry/sticky feeling goes away completely and I love it even more than regular lipstick. And sure enough, it lasts 16 hours (sometimes even longer!) even through eating and everything! And, after a few hours go by and you look in the mirror and think it’s begun to fade or something, all you do is put some more glossy topcoat stuff on and voila! back to normal! Woohoo! The only downside I’ve found is that you have to be VERY careful when applying the basecoat/color (in other words, applying it while driving doesn’t work, I learned) because if you color outside the lines, you’ll have a hell of a time getting it off!

You should definitely try it. It’s weird because I’m pretty much a tomboy, but I’ve always worn make up and when I started wearing this lipstick, people starting commenting on how nice I looked with make up on…but the only thing I changed was the lipstick! LOL

Okay, now I’m starting to sound like an ad for this shit….sorry!

Amberly: Damn it. I forgot to pick this up when I was at the grocery store earlier. But your ad, I mean your comment has me sold on the idea of trying it. Thanks.
